  1. Meet Tim
    1. Tim is a internet marketer, former host of foolish adventure and all around amazing person.
    2. He joined the military after highschool to see the world
    3. He then got discharged from the military because he fell off a cliff
    4.  He has a cool story about the falling off the cliff that you need to listen to the episode to hear
    5. He then went on to try and start a comic book magazine
    6. Raised $150,000 but needed around $300,000 to get the magazine off the ground
    7. In retrospect he should have reached out to the people around him that believed in the project
    8. He then went on to start an international travel company that ultimately failed
    9. At this time the internet was booming, but then later the stock market started dropping
  2. Advice during the Valleys
    1. During the hard times of your life reach out to the people around you and specifically mentors
    2. For him the best peaks were the smaller ones, such as figuring out how to get customers to his website
    3. He loves the climb more than the actual peaks
    4. I also love the climb
    5. However some people get addicted to the struggle
  3. The TIM Framework (Time Income Mobility)
    1. Having control of your time makes you free
    2. If you have no income then you also have a crappy life
    3. And if you don’t have mobility then you are also not free
    4. It is a balance, you can’t have the highest amount of all of them
    5. If you have to show up to a particular place at a specific time then you are not free
    6. If you can have your income so it can be made anywhere then it opens up a ton of choices
    7. The internet has really helped us be able to do this
    8. For Tim he needs to make $100,000 in a year, then after that he is more relaxed about everything
    9. He wants to make half a million this year, so that he can travel and he wants to be able to hire drivers and things like that.
    10. He also has some investment goals
  4. How Can Someone Get There TIM
    1. For Tim he is either working a job or he is in a business, he can’t do both
    2. However he a friend that could work on his own business well working for someone else
    3. Tim would save up some money and then quit his job
    4. As far as advice #1 Get some skills
    5. If you have a crappy job mentally check out, do a good job but just start saving
    6. Some good skills to know, search engine optimization, learning how to code is a good one as well, and copy writing
    7. The are other areas including carpentry and other trades pay a lot
    8. Go to elance and bid on job, that way you have a task and a deadline to do a job by
    9. You can pay to get the knowledge if you need to
  5. The How vs. The Why and the what
    1. Don’t get so hung up on the how
  6. Problems with people trying to make the leap
    1. Don’t ask for other peoples permission for taking the leap into getting out of the path
  7. How to get your existing business to the next level
    1. He works with teams usually and finds out how they are wasting time
    2. You have to see what you can eliminate
    3. You have to develop systems and fix the holes
    4. You need to get the foundation built before you add a ton of customers
    5. Add customers, and then see if there cracks, then fix those cracks and add more customers

Motivation, Business’s With Purpose, Double D’s and Theories on Puddles

Nick from pinkglovesboxing.com comes on the show and we talk about Motivation in your 20’s and why you should start a business with some purpose behind it.  Oh yeah we get into his thoughts on Double D’s and his theory on puddles.  Nick was a blast to talk with and this turned out to be just a really fun episode to record.

    2. The book is all about how to be the best you can be

    4. The first phase of the book is all about goal setting

    6. For the business if you can provide value to people then you
    7. Just because something is a certain way doesn’t mean it’s the right way
    8. It can be a bad thing at time but asking why is important usualy

    2. He was walking with his friends and they came across a puddle, one of his friends Keith said lets leap over the puddle, and said the worst thing that can happen if you try to leap over a puddle you get a little wet

    3. He found that the discractions of living in New York were messing with his brain and his will power.

    5. Having emails and other pop ups on your phone distracting you is crazy, don’t let that stuff make you scatter brained
    6. The Decisions – Routines and Systems are extremely important
    7. The decision cells in your brain get fatigued as well.
    8. Getting rid of distractions and decisions have helped him a lot as well
    9. Ted Talk on why checking your phone is as addicting as gambling
