How to Podcast and Sell Courses Online

Cliff from Podcast Answer Man comes on the show and we talk about how to start and grow your podcast, along with how to make and sell online courses.  This has been one of my favorite episodes to date, full of actionable tips and I personally learned a lot from it.  This is the kind of episode that makes me happy to have a podcast, because I was able to basically get a free 1 on 1 consulting session from Cliff who normally would charge thousands of dollars for an hour of his time.  I am going to relisten to this episode…which is rare for me since I was there for the entire episode!

Notes:

  • We talk about how to grow a podcast but more importantly why it doesn’t matter if you have a huge audience
  • It’s great having a podcast because you get to talk to cool and interesting people.
  • Reach out to be that you think are “Out of Your League” for interviews
  • I am planning on launching a course myself and I learned a ton of valuable info.
  • Some tips I learned for my course
    • Email Lists are powerful
    • I am going to try a mastermind style/ a set course of only 4 – 8 weeks, rather then a do it at your own pace style
    • The unlimited questions can be a very powerful offer for people who buy your course
    • Also answer each question with a video/or a save the text somewhere that way you don’t have to repeat answers…I will probably also make a FAQ

7 Steps to Seven Figures A Guide On How to Retire Early

Work is not something we want to do forever, or at least the kind of work we don’t enjoy.  Seven figures is probably enough for most of us, once we are millionaires we can be a little bit pickier on how we spend our time, but how do we get there?  In this episode Todd Tresidder and I explore how to get to seven figures.

  • Create your wealth plan
  • Look at the work of Byron Katie for identifying what is mentally holding you back
  • There are three types of investments, businesses, real estate and paper assets; choose the right ones for you.

Tantric Sex, Beating Depression, Yoga and Randomness

Sex is an integral part of travel and life, so today we talk about how to make it a little bit better. This convo goes all over the place and is not for the kids.

Notes:

  • This episode goes all over the place, we talk about tantric sex, yoga, beating depression and a whole host of things.
  • This episode was blast to record, maybe one of my favorites.
  • I also will go back and relisted to this episode from time to time as I really enjoyed it.
  • One of the big things I realized is a big part of tantric sex is when you breath out your partner breathes in, and vice versa.
  • I also talk about how I need to have a purpose, though while talking in this episode I realized it’s nice not having a purpose and just being in the moment doing whatever from time to time.
  • This episode is a little less structured then most episodes but it is probably one of the most fun episodes I have recorded.
  • Jordan Urbanovich who was on I believe episode 3 and 4 of this podcast rejoins me and we have just really interesting and fun conversation, if you don’t know Jordan, he is a bit of a character, but he has a lot of insights into the world.
  • This conversation does get graphic, I recently got a 1 star review, because someone didn’t like the fact that I had a psychedelic researcher on…boys and girls this episode not for you if your close minded, but if you’re an open minded individual this episode will be a lot of fun. It is an unedited conversation so some parts are better then others, at the end we talk about beating mild depression which is worth sticking around for. With out any further ado here is me and jordans conversation.
  • I almost didn’t release this episode due to the conversation content but here we go

Murder Cases, Chocolate, Entrepreneurship and Lessons in Passionate Business

People say that entrepreneurs are a little crazy, well when Shawn told the world he was quiting his extremely lucrative law practice to start a chocolate company people thought he was a little crazy. This is an amazing story about what it takes to succeed in business and life; and oh yeah theres a lot of talk about chocolate!

Notes:

  • In business seek out people who have knowledge in accounting and finance
  • If you are looking for business ideas take an inventory of what you like to talk about
  • If you can’t figure something out rather then quitting realize sometimes you need to hire an expert, and sometimes that is going to be really expensive…but often times it’s worth it.

Brain Hacking, Nootropics and Entrepreneurship 2.0

Your brain is your life, and in this episode we talk about ways to sharpen it up from meditation to nootropics to neurofeedback.  On top of that Dr. Hill shares a little bit about the development of his own brand of nootropics.  Entrepreneurship and brain hacking in one episode…yeah you better bet I enjoyed this conversation.

Notes:

  • Once again meditation is mentioned as a way to improve brain performance.
  • One thing that was different about this time was the idea of single point mediation, i.e. focusing on just your upper lip and the sensations it feels.
  • Hill also once again mentions the ketogenic diet as optimal for brain performance. I will for sure try this diet again but I have not had the same results.  I am not sure if my body just doesn’t respond properly or if I haven’t properly implemented the diet.

Yoga, Meditation, Eastern Philosophy and Chakras Part 2

Science is amazing, but there are still things that happen all around us that science can’t yet explain.  Infact a lot of what science is know confirming are things that have been known for thousands of years but eastern societies.  For example everything thing is just energy is what e=mc squared means.  New research in posture reflecting on our personality is what yogis and chakra enthusiasts have been preaching for millennia.  Somethings in this episode may be a little out there for many of you, but I recommend listening with an open mind.

Notes:

  • Chakras may seem a little out there for a lot of you, but think of it as similar to body posture.
  • We can all agree that body posture can be a reflection and infact change your personality (its science look it up), so think of Chakras as a pre science explanation of this fact.
  • There are 7 Chakras each in a different spot of the body and representing different parts of our personality and who we are
  • There is way too much information here, I recommend just listening to the episode if your interested.
